The Academy Dad aims to provide parents with all necessary information surrounding the various stages of a child be invited into a professional football academy.
This site will be a useful reference point for parents who either already have a child playing for a professional club, those whose children may be about to enter the system or for those parents who are simply interested in learning more about the process.

The blog discusses a variety of topics including the scouting process, how to cope with a trial situation, what its like to be an academy player and more. All of these subjects are most importantly covered from the perspective of a parent

We also regularly conduct Q&A's with individuals involved within the system to get their unique insight into this 'secret world.'
